Native Plant Garden Work Party

We'll be preparing the site for a native plant garden. Possible activities include removing invasive/non-native species and preparing the drip irrigation system. If you have gardening tools and gloves, please bring them. Otherwise, we will have some available to share.

The Hayes Valley Farmers' Market is the result of incredible work from all the folks with the Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association, Hayes Valley Merchants Council, Hayes Promenade, and Pacific Coast Farmers' Market Association -- all coming together to bring this historic market to our community, for you! We are over the moon to finally have a weekly farmers market in Hayes Valley.

Join the Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association, the Civic Joy Fund, SF Public Works, Refuse Refuse, Shine On, and TogetherSF for a friendly neighborhood cleanup, every Saturday! Volunteers will meet at Gambit Lounge (581 Hayes St) to clean from 10am to 11am, then enjoy snacks and each other's company. Then receive a voucher for freebies and discounts at local merchants.

Live jazz performance with singers and instrumentalists. Suggested donation $10 (sliding scale/no one turned away). Weather permitting.
Halloween on Hayes 🎃

Join neighbors for Halloween on Hayes, a free, family-friendly afternoon and evening at Hayes St. and Octavia Blvd. From 4–6 PM, families can follow the Trick-or-Treat Trail through Hayes Valley, enjoy face painting and merchant treats, and hear live music on Hayes Promenade. From 7–8:30 PM, settle in for a family Halloween movie on the big screen at PROXY; the movie title will be announced soon. The Hayes Valley Entertainment Zone will also be active for adults 21+. Costumes are encouraged, and all activities are free. RSVP is optional, but signing up is the best way to receive the movie announcement, participating-merchant details and other event updates. You can also add the event to your calendar and use this page to stay in touch, join HVNA or support community programming in Hayes Valley.
